Frequently Asked Questions

Typically, I board 4 – 6 dogs per day and no more than 5 dogs for overnight
boarding. I limit the number of dogs I board so each dog gets love and affection.
Commercial facilities board too many dogs to provide high quality personal care.
Rabies vaccination is required by law. In addition, vets recommend DHPP,
Bordetella, Leptospirosis and Canine Influenza for dogs exposed to other dogs in
social or boarding settings. Please bring a copy of the vet’s paperwork showing
up-to-date vaccination status.
Your dog must be on an effective, year-round flea prevention program for health
and comfort as well as for mine and that of other boarders. Your vet can
recommend an effective oral product.
In an emergency, I’ll take your dog to the nearest vet and contact you
immediately. If non-emergency care is needed, I’ll contact you to decide the best
course of action.
